Those who have lived in the twin-cities area for a while remember a time when nothing moved in McCaysville or Copperhill after 9:00pm except for the occasional tractor trailer moving through town on the way to far away destinations, and local residents who wake up at 3:00am to drive to Atlanta or Chattanooga for work.
But the sleepy McCaysville Georgia/Copperhill Tennessee area has undergone a metamorphosis over the last few years, with the biggest changes coming in the last 12 months. Both towns are now packed with restaurants, breweries, nighttime hangouts and now a 7,000+ square foot music venue.

I don’t think it was that simple. According to the city council meeting I watched/listened to, they had a license but assumed they could use it for both Tooneys and Bura Bura (since Tooneys technically isn’t a separate business), but the state investigator who came in and looked around disagreed. They are jumping through the legal hoops now to straighten it all out. I believe Bura Bura was granted a variance at the last city council meeting.
Tooneys is not shut down I can promise you in fact don’t quote me but Tooneys is only going to get better and better as time goes on, the guy who runs it is my oldest best friend and as well as his brother who runs twisted tomatoe
And both guys have always had vision and creativity a d destined for greatness….awesome work guys keep it up
